Kelly Brooks, an advertising account executive for The Valdosta Daily Times, right, presents a gift basket to Bert Powell, recipient of the 2008 Edith D. Smith SuperCitizen Award, during the South Georgia Senior Living Showcase Saturday at the James H. Rainwater Conference Center. Powell was instrumental in setting up the Honor Flight program, which took veterans of World War II to Washington, D.C., to see the official WWII memorial.
