Senior Matt Pierce and the Valdosta State football team was tabbed the No. 1 seed in Super Region 2 Sunday evening and will host either West Alabama or Miles in the second round of the Division II playoffs Nov. 24 at Bazemore-Hyder Stadium in Valdosta.
