North Brooks Elementary school hosted its first round of the annual Spelling Bee on Jan. 17. Shown is Principal Dr. Elena Taveras with winner, Kennedy Gregory and the runner-up Nikki Patterson. Both students will go on to compete in the school system wide spelling bee in February.
