Blazers split doubleheader, win series with No. 2 Delta State
Valdosta State scored nine runs in the third inning, and routed Delta State — the No. 2 baseball team in Division II — 12-1 in the second game of Saturday’s doubleheader on Saturday.
The Blazers won two of three games against the Statesmen. Delta had only lost five games all season heading into the series.
Blazer softball team sweeps Delta State on Senior Day
The Valdosta State softball team earned two Gulf South Conference wins on Saturday, sweeping a doubleheader against Delta State at Steel’s Diamond at Blazer Park.
The defending national champion Blazers improved to 32-8, and 17-6 in conference play.
