VALDOSTA — Beautiful hanging baskets of gorgeous, green plants both inside and outside the Smok’n Pig restaurant immediately catch your attention. They’re all real, and wonderfully maintained by Plants, Plants, Plants owner Laurelee Wilkerson.
Wilkerson built her 18-year-old company around service to her customers, providing interiorscape and plant design services to commercial and residential clients. She selects the plants and small trees based on the customers’ needs and the type of business, and maintains them each week with loving care so her clients have beautiful plants with no worry.
“Customers can buy plants from me or lease them, so if something happens to them, it’s my responsibility to replace them. I offer a very affordable service and do my best to take care of my clients,” she said.
The interiorscape company specializes in indoor and outdoor plants for commercial and residential businesses as well as for special events, such as banquets and weddings. Wilkerson said she works seven days a week much of the time, but isn’t complaining because she enjoys her work so much.
Plants are an integral part of an interior design, and bring life and color to a room. In addition to being aesthetically pleasing, plants can also have a calming effect on customers, and add warmth to a business.
Smok’n Pig owner Pat O’Neal said he loves plants, and when he decided to open the new restaurant, he knew he wanted to have lots of beautiful, hanging baskets all around.
He smiled when asked about the service, saying, “You don’t mess with Laurelee’s plants. She takes great care of them, and I’m glad she does, because if it was up to me, they wouldn’t last very long!”
In addition to the restaurant, Wilkerson’s company recently interiorscaped the new Wingate hotel by the conference center, and she has a large client base in town. To learn more about her business, visit the company’s Web site at www.plantsplantsplants.com.
