VALDOSTA — Valdosta Police Department



Friday

• About $100 in cash, $1,500 in jewelry and $470 of other items was taken at 12:59 p.m. from an auto in the 1700 block of Norman Drive, according to reports.

• Police stopped a car in the 400 block of East Gordon Street at 1:05 p.m. because a passenger was not wearing a seat belt, and the driver was found to not have a valid license, according to reports. Antonio Gonzales, 26, of Valdosta, was charged with a driver’s license violation, according to reports.

• A car was stopped for visible emissions at 9:03 a.m. in the 700 block of East Brookwood Drive, and the driver gave officers a false name and date of birth and was driving without a valid license, according to reports. Daphane Henton, 23, of Valdosta was charged with interference of an officer, driver’s license violation and equipment violations, say reports.

• Police charged Chadrick Holloway, 26, of Valdosta with probation violation, according to reports.

• Police stopped a car at 2:29 a.m. in the 1800 block of Canterbury Drive because the tag light was out, and the driver faces several charges, according to reports. Amy Rebekah Cox, 24, of Homerville, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driver’s license violation and equipment violations, reports stated.

• A traffic stop over a tag light resulted in charges against the driver at 2:40 a.m. in the 800 block of Baytree Road, according to reports. Kevin M. Hutson, 25, of Valdosta, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driver’s license violation and other traffic violations, according to reports.



Thursday

• A burglary in the 700 block of Bethune Street between noon Monday and 6:40 p.m. Thursday resulted in the loss of $759 worth of electronics, according to reports.

• A traffic stop over no tag lights resulted in charges for one person at 11:05 p.m. in the 700 block of West Alden Avenue, according to reports. Lauren Elizabeth Gooden, 18, of Valdosta, was charged with alcohol possession/consumption by a minor and equipment violations, according to reports.

• Police stopped a car for a tag violation at 7:08 p.m. in the 2200 block of North Toombs Street, according to reports. Gernaro Estrada, 37, of Valdosta, was charged with driver’s license violation, no insurance and miscellaneous traffic offenses, say reports.

• A search warrant was executed at 5:37 p.m. at a house in the 2400 block of Giddens Drive, resulting in three arrests, according to reports. Deandre Lashon Fagan, 20, of Valdosta, was charged with cocaine-possession, possession of narcotic equipment and marijuana possession, while Darry Caldwell Jr., 22, of Valdosta, was charged with cocaine-possession, possession of narcotic equipment and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, reports stated. Steven Walker, 28, of Valdosta, was charged with cocaine-possession, possession of narcotic equipment and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, reports stated.

• About $250-$300 in cash was taken from the cash register at a restaurant in the 1500 block of Baytree Road at 3:31 p.m., say police reports.

• Lawn equipment valued at $1,100 was reported taken from a house in the 2400 block of Westwood Drive between 2:10 p.m. Wednesday and 2:12 p.m. Thursday, according to reports.

• Police stopped a car for having a defective brake light at 3:20 p.m. in the 300 block of South Oak Street and wound up charging the driver with driving without a valid license, according to reports. Sefereno Gallardo, 28, of Valdosta, was charged with a driver’s license violation and equipment violations, reports stated.

• A driver was stopped at 2:23 p.m. in the 2600 block of North Ashley street for speeding and not wearing a seat belt, and was found to have a suspended license, reports stated. Alisha Nicole Nelson, 26, of Valdosta, was charged with speeding, seat belt/child restraint violation and a driver’s license violation, according to reports.



Wednesday

• A woman was arrested and charged after using a knife to cause a puncture wound to her brother’s arm during a dispute at 9:30 p.m. in the 700 block of East Ann Street, according to reports. Latoya Brown, 24, of Valdosta, was charged with aggravated assault of a family member - other weapon, reports stated.



July 12

• Two juveniles were taken into custody after someone saw three people enter a home in the 2300 block of Diana Drive at noon to take electronics, according to reports. The items taken were hidden at nearby vacant houses. Reported taken were $1,100 of electronics, $500 of jewelry and $470 of other items, according to reports.





South Georgia Drug Task Force



Monday

• The South Georgia Drug Task Force and the Cook County Sheriff’s Office arrested Pearlie King of East Colquitt Street, Sparks, according to a press release from the task force. She was found to be in possession of crack cocaine during a consent search, according to the press release.
