Saturday
• At 2:29 a.m., in the 2700 block of Dogwood Circle, a complainant reported a known male attempted to enter her residence and damaged a back window screen when entry was not obtained, according to reports. The estimated cost for damages was $10, reports stated.
Friday
• Between 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m., in the 900 block of Oliver Street, police responded in reference to a dog that had been shot and killed by an unknown offender, reports stated.
• At 2 p.m., in the 2100 block of Melrose Drive, police responded in reference to a report of trespassing. The complainant advised that a known subject was trespassing on the property, reports stated.
• At 2:54 p.m., in the 1500 block of Baytree Road, police responded to a report of shoplifting, where three women were reported to have taken merchandise and exited the store without paying for the merchandise, according to reports. There was $504 worth of merchandise stolen, reports stated.
• At 3:22 p.m., in the 700 block of North Troup Street, cocaine was sold, reports stated. The Valdosta Police Department is investigating the offense.
• At 3:30 p.m., in the 800 block of Devine Street, synthetic narcotics were sold, reports stated. The Valdosta Police Department is investigating the offense.
• At 8 p.m., in the 520 block of East Magnolia Street, 3.4 grams of crack cocaine was found during a K9 free air sniff of an open area, according to reports. The cocaine was placed into property evidence for destruction, reports stated.
• Between July 23 at 5 p.m. and July 24 at 4:42 a.m., in the 1500 block of Lankford Drive, a complainant reported that an unknown person or persons broke into the rear window of the apartment complex causing $350 in damages, reports stated.
Thursday
• Between July 22 at 7:45 p.m. and July 23 at 8:48 p.m., in the 1500 block of Baytree Road, a woman reported being harassed via text messages by a known male, reports stated.
• Between July 22 at 10 p.m. and July 23 at 3:23 p.m., in the 2200 block of North Ashley Street, a complainant stated that a known person shot a bullet into the air conditioning unit located on the roof of the business, according to reports.
