At 8:17 p.m., Valdosta police responded to the 1100 block of Madison Highway in reference to a report that an offender had concealed merchandise and passed the point of sale without paying. During a subsequent search, authorities discovered cocaine. Jerome Berrien, 44, is charged with shoplifting, trespassing, and cocaine-possession, according to Valdosta police.
At 7:28 p.m., Valdosta police confiscated a large amount of a green leafy substance along the 1300 block of North Saint Augustine Road that later field tested as marijuana. Jonathan Brooks Wheeler, 19, and a white male juvenile are charged with possession of narcotic equipment and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, according to Valdosta police.
At 3 p.m., Valdosta police responded to the 1200 block of North St. Augustine Road in reference to a report that a white male tried on some shoes then ran from the business wearing the shoes without paying for them, according to Valdosta police.
At 9:44 a.m., Valdosta police arrested Christina M. Walden, 24, on the 200 block of East Hill Avenue and charged her with probation violation, according to Valdosta police.
At 10:50 p.m., police responded to the 1500 block of Lankford Drive in reference to a physical altercation between a male and female, according to Valdosta police.
