Police responding to a possible burglary at 5:02 a.m. in the 1600 block of East Park Avenue wound up arresting a suspect for public drunkenness, according to reports. Corey Grant Henkels, 23, of Lake Park, was charged with marijuana possession and city ordinance violation, say reports.

Two teens were arrested at a road check in the 400 block of West Central Avenue at 3 a.m., according to reports. Iesha Nishea Bridges, 18, of Valdosta, was charged with marijuana possession and alcohol possession / consumption by a minor, while Alexis Rachelle Worthy, 18, of Valdosta, was charged with alcohol possession / consumption by a minor, say reports.

Police responded to a report of a fight at a club in the 300 block of East Hill Avenue around 2:12 a.m., according to reports. Gromeyko S. Brown, 22, of Douglas, was arrested and charged with interference of an officer, disorderly conduct and warrant arrest, say reports. An officer grabbed Brown, who was hitting someone else, according to reports. Brown resisted and tried to get away, the reports say.

A report of an armed robbery at a business in the 2800 block of Bemiss Road, around 1:02 a.m. resulted in an arrest, according to reports. The complainant said a man pulled a handgun on him and two other employees, threatening to shoot them, reports say. Toney Miley Jr., 28, of Barney was charged with aggravated assault non family member-gun, say reports.



Saturday

A woman reported that, around 12:51 p.m. in the 700 block of East Ann Street, a known person struck her several times in the head, moved her to an alternate location against her will and threatened to kill her with a gun, according to reports.



Friday

Copper piping worth $150 was stolen from underneath a house in the 600 block of North Forrest Street between 10 p.m. Tuesday and 2:15 p.m. Friday, according to Valdosta Police Department reports.
