Crime Reports for March 11, 2010

VALDOSTA — Valdosta Police Department



Monday

At approximately 6:15 a.m., in the 1500 block of Baytree Road, police responded to an alarm at Ivey’s the Man’s Shop, according to reports. During the course of the investigating, it was determined that the business was burglarized by an unknown person(s), reports stated. It was reported that $3,747 in clothing and currency was missing, reports stated.



At 9:49 a.m., in the 3900 Block of North Oak Street Extension, Elizabeth Murray, 32, was arrested after a hit-and-run accident, according to reports. Murray was charged with driving under the influence of drugs, reports stated.



At 3:04 a.m., police initiated a traffic stop in the 2200 block of Bemiss Road on a vehicle that made an improper left turn, according to reports. Felicia Vanisha House, 22, was arrested and charged with interference of a police officer, a traffic violation, driving with no insurance, driving on a suspended/revoked driver’s license, canceled registration violation and providing a false name and date of birth, reports stated.



Tuesday

Between 2:04 a.m. and 2:13 a.m., police stopped a vehicle in the 2300 Block of North Forrest Street, according to reports. Edmond Moore, 35, was arrested and charged with driving without a valid driver’s license and miscellaneous traffic offenses.



At 12:20 p.m., the Guesthouse Inn in the 1000 block of Lakes Boulevard in Lake Park reported a theft by taking, according to reports.



Between 4:15 p.m. and 4:25 p.m., a resident in the 600 block of Sustella Avenue told police that an unknown person(s) broke the window of his house, according to reports. The approximate value of the damage was $300, reports stated.



At 1:24 p.m., during a driver’s license check in the 2700 block of Tyndall Drive, police noticed a seat belt/child restraint violation, according to reports. Laquita S. Mitchell, 26, was arrested and charged with a driver’s license violation, and an active/valid warrant from Brooks County, reports stated.



Between 12:30 p.m. and 1:15 p.m., a 14-year-old juvenile was arrested and charged with battery in the 900 block of Lake Park, according to reports. Reports stated that another juvenile was jumped on and hit in the face numerous times, sustaining some swelling to his face.



Between 10:30 p.m. and 11 p.m., a resident in the 1500 block of East Park Avenue reported that an unknown person(s) had broken into their home and stolen $2,769 worth of electronics, according to reports.



Wednesday

At 11:15 a.m., Lean Andrew Jones, 50, was arrested in the 700 block of Brookwood Drive and charged with driving without a valid driver’s license, no insurance, suspended registration and outstanding probation violation warrant through the city of Valdosta, according to reports.



At 5:16 a.m., Ramon Pedro Ramon, 22, was arrested in the 1700 block of North Lee Street and charged with a driver’s license violation and equipment violations, according to reports.



At 2:51 a.m., Vincente Santiago, 39, was arrested in the 400 block of Cypress Street and charged with a driver’s license and equipment violations, according to reports.
