Saturday



• At 12:15 a.m. a citizen reported an incident of theft by taking in which a known female removed property from his residence without permission  in the 200 block of West Mary Street. The property included currency valued at $45 and a firearm valued at $50, according to reports.

• At 4:35 a.m. a battery was reported in the 1500 block of North Ashley Street. A citizen reported that a known male struck her in the face with his fist causing a visible injury, according to reports.



Friday

• Between July 24 at 8 p.m. and 12:22 a.m. on July 30, 2010 Kellie Nelson, 44, was charged with harassing communication in the 500 block of Georgia Avenue, reports stated. According to reports, the victim allowed a Valdosta police officer to listen to approximately 12 to 15 harassing voice messages left on his cell phone.

• At 2:28 a.m. Taran Travon Williams, 29, was charged with interference of an officer, drivers license violation and other traffic violations that occurred in the 3200 block of Inner Perimeter Road, reports stated. During a traffic stop conducted by a Valdosta police officer, the driver of the vehicle fled and was apprehended after a foot pursuit, according to reports. The offender was charged with interference of an officer, driving on a suspended license, failure to maintain lane and had a warrant for arrest, according to reports.

• At 4:28 p.m. Arica Ann Bell, 29, was charged with shoplifting following an incident that occurred in the 1800 block of Norman Drive, reports stated. According to reports an adult female is reported to have taken merchandise valued at $800 and removed the security spider wrapping in the store.

• At 6:25 p.m. Charles Williams Hill, 52, was charged with shoplifting and interference of an officer following an incident that occurred in the 800 block of Madison Highway, according to reports. A witness reported that the offender concealed items in pockets valued at $12 and took them past all points of sale without paying for them, according to reports.

• Between July 23 at 12:01 a.m. and 7:41 p.m. on July 30, 2010 a burglary forced entry to a residence occurred in the 100 block of Fairway Drive. The victim reported that someone entered the residence and removed electronic equipment valued at $1,600, according to reports.
