VALDOSTA —
Little Actors Theatre believes luck will be a lady with audiences this weekend as it presents the musical “Guys & Dolls Jr.”
The “Jr.” means the show has been adapted for a children’s cast which is perfect for Little Actors Theatre which presents shows for children by children, says LAT Director Diane Tovar.
But audiences should expect plenty they know and love about this famed show of a high-roller’s bet that he can woo a Salvation Army missionary.
“Guys & Dolls Jr.” features the music, lyrics and lines of Frank Loesser, Jo Swerling and Abe Burrows. It is a musical adaptation of the New York stories of Damon Runyon.
The Jr. adaptation includes favorite musical numbers such as “Guys & Dolls,” “Follow the Fold,” “Sit Down You’re Rockin’ the Boat,” and most notably, “Luck Be a Lady.”
Audiences will find newcomers and regulars in this young cast. Expect some of the girls to play traditionally male roles, and youngsters of all ages performing the entire ensemble of famed characters from Nicely-Nicely Johnson to Sarah Brown to Harry the Horse to Nathan Detroit to Sky Masterson.
THE CAST: Haylee Johnson Benny, Camden Burrous, Joely Peterman, Emily Criss, Danielle Spivey, Arianna Perry, Gabbie Bradford, Dalemetrius Huff, Alex Cope, Michael Wardle, Chase Cook, Tucker Pope, Catherine Albritton, Church Barnas, Aloura Barnas, Brittany McLeod, Lauren Greer, James Spivey, Will Burrous, Savannah Bell.

Billings, Montana: Where the old West remains alive
Montana bills itself as “Big Sky Country,” a pretty accurate claim in our opinion. The self-described Treasure State is blessed with mountains and hills for recreation, prairies for farming and ranching, and lakes, rivers, and streams for boating, fishing and swimming. Stand in the middle of the state and it seems as if you can see a thousand miles in any direction.
