VALDOSTA — S& S Automotive and Diesel has moved to a new location that is more convenient for the business and for its clients.
Bill Spells, owner, started the business in 1976, and for the last 18 years he was located at White Water Road.
“That's where a lot of people will remember me from,” he said.
The facility there was too small at 4,000 square feet, he said. The current place is twice as big and provides easier access for the vehicles.
Spells said they started preparations in August to move to the new location, which was once a junk yard. The contractors helped clean it and put up the new building.
“There were a lot of people involved,” he said.
After many long hours and months of hard work, as well as family support, the business settled and started operations over a week ago.
Q: What kind of services do you provide?
A: We do automotive and diesel repair. We are a full-service shop — computer diagnostics, engines, breaks, anything.

A: Everybody thinks it’s wonderful.

A: The address is 3719 Madison Highway, which is a half mile south off Exit 11.
Q: What are your hours of operation?
A: It’s Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday from 8 a.m. until noon.
