Focus On: CS Outfitters

VALDOSTA — Justin Nijem gathered famous brands of outdoor wear in one place by opening CS Outfitters three weeks ago.

Nijem is also the owner of Pita Pit and has located his new store next door to the Pita Pit — a perfect way to manage both businesses, Nijem said.

“It’s easy to focus on the two places at the same time,” he said. “But I’m still trying to get used to it, as I’m learning about both businesses.”

He wanted to open a store that carries quality brands of casual and outdoor wear since this is what college students are demanding. When he was in college, he noted, there was no place to find such clothes. So, instead of having to go outside Valdosta to find similar clothing, he has brought them to Valdosta.

“You can’t get all these brands at one place anywhere else in Valdosta,” he said.

He carries both men and women’s fashion, and sizes vary from extra small to extra large.

“I have something for everybody,” Nijem said.

CS Outfitters is open Monday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. For contact information, call (229) 247-2880. CS Outfitters is located at 607 Baytree Road, St. A.

Q: What brands do you carry?

A: I have a good selection of Patagonia, Kavu, Rainbow sandals, Guy Harvey, and more. I have jackets, but I also carry shorts here because it never gets that cold, and people always look for shorts.

Q: What is the price range?

A: The prices vary from $19 to $300 which are the sunglasses. They are the most expensive items in the store.

Q: Do you already get any feedback from customers?

A: Everybody says it was a need in town.
