VALDOSTA —
The Valdosta Daily Times will host its annual Senior Living Showcase Saturday, bringing a collection of more than 40 senior services vendors to the James H. Rainwater Conference Center for aging Valdosta residents. The conference will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and is free to the public.
This year’s list of vendors will feature services in health care, fitness, home ideas and “all kinds of things,” according to Event Planner Rachel Thrasher-Noles.
“The goal is to put local businesses in front of people who are their potential customers as sort of a one-stop shop,” Thrasher-Noles said. “All the vendors who will be there will offer services that are somehow related to seniors—things that a community senior could use.”
More than 800 citizens attended last year’s event, and planners are hoping to see even more this year, Thrasher-Noles said. The first 800 people through the door will receive a free goody bag containing information, pens and other items.
