VALDOSTA — A glimpse into the inner workings of the Valdosta City government is the purpose of the Government 101 Citizen Orientation Program.
The class will begin in April and five of the 25 spaces are still open, said Mara Register, assistant to the city manager.
The class is free and will cover all facets of city government from city council to public works. Classes begin on April 15 in council chambers at City Hall and will run from 6-8 p.m. each time.
“Elected officials and department heads are already preparing for their sessions,” Register said.
