A total of 64 Valdosta State University students were inducted into the Georgia Alpha chapter of the Alpha Chi National Honor Society Monday. Membership in Alpha Chi is one of the highest academic honors which may be bestowed upon a student at VSU, and is restricted to juniors and seniors who rank within the highest ten percent of their respective classes.
Current chapter officers are Jessica Thomas (President), Alan Perry (Vice President) and Leah Sproul (Secretary-Treasurer).
Dr. Kenneth Rumstay of the Department of Physics, Astronomy, and Geosciences serves as faculty sponsor, and Dr. Theresa Grove of the Department of Biology is the new assistant faculty sponsor. The students who were inducted are:
