VALDOSTA, Ga. — Lowndes County and the state of Georgia reached an agreement on the purchase of the old Department of Labor Building at 2808 N. Oak St.
The Lowndes County Board of Commissioners’ unanimous approval of the contract during Tuesday night’s meeting finalized the transaction. With the purchase of the property for $875,000, the county will use it for the Board of Elections Office.

Commissioners stipulated that Dees must come up with a plan for buffering the property.
