LAKE PARK — Lake Park Fire Rescue will host an Open House and Fund-raiser from 11:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Saturday at 202 W. Cotton Ave.
“Come out and enjoy the day with the family and learn about the various equipment and aspects of firefighting,” according to a promotional flier. “See demos for the kids, as well as for the adults. Learn about how to make your home safer for you and your family.”
Highlights include extrication demonstrations, as well as equipment demonstrations.
Firefighter recognition awards will be presented at 1:45 p.m.
Food plates — featuring a hamburger or hot dog, sides, a dessert, and a drink — will be available for $5 each. All proceeds will be used to purchase new equipment for Lake Park Fire Rescue and maintain existing equipment.
