VALDOSTA — The City of Valdosta Public Works Department will be closed on Friday in observance of Independence Day. The Sanitation Division will collect residential garbage only on Friday and citizens should place their green rollouts at the curbside by 6 a.m. that day to ensure that their garbage is collected. Yard trash will be picked up on Monday. Sanitation pick up services for recyclables will resume on Friday, July 10, for those who have a Friday collection day.
