VALDOSTA — In accordance with its appointment policy and to provide an opportunity for qualified citizens to be made aware of opportunities to serve on various boards, commissions, authorities and advisory committees, the City of Valdosta announces the following openings:
• Historic Preservation Commission, two vacancies
• Valdosta Housing Authority, one vacancy
• Valdosta-Lowndes County Parks and Recreation Authority, one vacancy
Applications must be submitted by those seeking appointment or reappointment and will be retained for three years by the clerk of council once appointments have been made.
Each person applying must review membership requirements and code of ethics booklet, complete a general board application, and sign a code of ethics form.
All necessary documents are available at www.valdostacity.com or can be obtained at Valdosta City Hall, 216 E. Central Ave. The deadline for submitting the general board application and code of ethics form to the city clerk for the above vacancies is Feb. 3 at 5 p.m.
