VALDOSTA — Keep Lowndes/Valdosta Beautiful recently awarded three $500 environmental grants to local schools.
Applications were open to schools in the Valdosta and Lowndes County school systems, as well local private/independent schools.
The recipients for this round of grants were Lowndes High School and Valwood School.
This grant program is sponsored by Keep Lowndes/Valdosta Beautiful and provides up to $500 for individual teachers to initiate programs or supplement existing programs relating to environmental education on the school campus or to initiate or supplement existing beautification programs located on the school campus.
