In two separate cases, agents with the South Georgia Drug Task Force nabbed two in drug-related incidents.
On Thursday, Jan. 28, the task force assisted the Clinch County Sheriff's Office, Homerville Police Department, Savannah Regional Drug Enforcement Office and Echols County Sheriff's Office with the arrest of Torrence Edmonds, 31 of Homerville, for an active probation arrest warrant, according to a press release.
At the time of his arrest, Edmonds allegedly had 21 bags of marijuana in his possession, packaged to sell, the release stated.
In an unrelated incident on Sunday, Jan. 31, the task force assisted the Cook County Sheriff's Office and Adel Police Department with the arrest of Glenn A. Franklin, 46 of Auburn. Franklin was arrested at the 34 mile marker on Interstate 75 South in Adel and charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance and possession of tools for the commission of a crime, the release stated.
