VALDOSTA —
Deputies with the Lowndes County Sheriff's Office arrested two suspects in a Valdosta burglary case Friday, responding to a tip by a resident who witnessed the robbery, according to a press release from Sheriff Chris Prine.
Latavius Tymaria Clark, 22, and Steven Bernard Clark, 20, both of Moultrie, were arrested on charges of burglary of a residence on Camilla Drive in Valdosta Thursday, according to the sheriff’s office.
A resident of the complex where the burglary occurred witnessed two individuals acting suspicious in the parking lot, according to authorities. The resident continued watching the men break into an apartment.
The resident called 911 and provided a vehicle description and a physical description of the men, the release states. Using the description, a sheriff’s deputy identified the vehicle and performed a traffic stop near the intersection of James Road and U.S. Highway 84.
The vehicle’s occupants were arrested and later identified by the resident who witnessed the burglary.
Both suspects are being held in the Lowndes County Jail.
