VALDOSTA —
Two people were shot Friday morning during an argument outside of an American Legion post.
At approximately 2 a.m., on the 400 block of South Lee Street, an unknown person or persons fired shots into a crowd arguing outside of the post, according to the Valdosta Police Department.
When Valdosta police officers arrived, they learned a large crowd had gathered outside of the post after its club had closed. Individuals in this group began arguing, until the shot were fired.
One victim was struck in the hand and another in the foot, according to police.
Emergency medical services transported both victims to South Georgia Medical Center where they received treatment for their non-life-threatening injuries.
Stray bullets also damaged several parked vehicles in the area, according to police.
Valdosta Police detectives and the Crime Scene Unit arrived on scene to investigate and question witnesses.
There were no suspects as of Friday evening. The case is currently under investigation. Police would not release the names of the people shot during the incident.
