VALDOSTA —
The Valdosta Junior Service League is attempting to make sure no child in the community is cold this winter through its Koats for Kids project currently under way.
Those interested may drop off coats of any size to participating dry cleaners until the project is concluded on Nov. 30. Participating dry cleaners include Big B on Connell Road and North Patterson Street, Bishop’s on North Oak Street Extension, Duck Barnes on Baytree Road, Pleats and Creases on Northside Drive, Valdosta Dry Cleaners on East Force Street. The YMCA in Valdosta and Lake Park are also collecting coats.
The coats will then be distributed to children in the community.
In addition to collecting coats, the league will also be collecting belts and new packs of children’s underwear for the elementary schools.
