VALDOSTA — Here’s what’s happening tonight, Thursday, Sept. 9, according to items submitted.



The AmVets: 728 E. Hill Ave., starts 10 p.m. DJ Heartless spins hits.



Club Paradise: 2100 W. Hill Ave. Female dancers.



Creekside Tavern: Gornto Road. Beales Toupee, a Valdosta-based band, plays. PLUS: DJ spins hits. No cover charge.



The Log Cabin: 720 Adel Highway, 8 p.m.-1 a.m. Karaoke.



Mikki’s: 402 Northside Drive. Texas Hold ’em. Games start 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. No cover.



Quality Inn Lounge: 1902 W. Hill Ave., 7-10 p.m. Karaoke and dance music. No cover.



Rascal’s: 4875 U.S. Highway 41, Lake Park. Karaoke.



Recital: Whitehead Auditorium, Valdosta State University Fine Arts Building, corner of Oak and Brookwood, music starts 7:30 p.m. David Springfield, trombone/piano, and Maila Springfield, piano, present their VSU Music faculty recital, with featured percussionist Travis Downs, Valdosta Middle School band director; Peter Geldrich, clarinet and adjunct professor at South Georgia College. The recital is a mix of jazz and contemporary music featuring works by Leonard Bernstein, Bjork, Astor Piazzolla, Thad Jones, Lennie Trsitano, and two world premiere pieces written for Maharlika Trio by Carl Schimmel and Bill Schmid. Admission: free and open to the public.



Walker’s Drive-In: Crossroads of Highway 122 and 125. Karaoke.
