VALDOSTA —
In Sunday editions of The Valdosta Daily Times, keep an eye out for the updated TV listings section.
Beginning today, instead of a tabloid-style format, readers will be treated to 12 full broadsheets of entertainment news, puzzles, showtimes, and the Sunday comics.
“We wanted to give it a new look and add more content,” said Advertising Director Mae Stokes.
As Stokes explains, Saturday and Sunday afternoon television listings were removed last year. These listings have been re-introduced to the new format in response to customer requests.
Comics will also be included in the Sunday TV section and will not see any reduction in content. Sudoku and crossword puzzles will be presented in a larger format for easier visibility.
"We are always looking for ways to improve the newspaper, and we've seen this type of section work well in other markets," said Jeff Masters, publisher of The Valdosta Daily Times. "Readers like it because it's easy to read and offers more content in one section."
The changes go into effect in the Sunday, Feb. 5 edition of the Times. For any questions contact Customer Service Representative Perri Fillyaw at (229) 244-3400 ext. 1202.
