VALDOSTA —
The City of Valdosta and Central Valdosta Development Authority will host a third public meeting to seek citizen input on the future of Downtown Valdosta over the next 20-30 years. It will be held from 5:30-7:30 p.m. today at St. Paul AME Church, 419 S. Ashley St.
The public meeting will share the results of the charrette workshop and illustrate conceptual development and transportation strategies.
The planning team will do a brief presentation on background, existing plans, existing conditions, and the visions established from the town hall meeting held on June 10, as well as the charrette workshop held on Aug. 10. The strategic topics to be discussed at the public meeting are open space; transportation; walkability; and the future of the historic southside district. Participants will also get to view potential catalyst project areas for redevelopment and renovation.
