The Valdosta Daily Times — VALDOSTA — Between Wednesday, Sept. 2, and 1 p.m. Monday, Valdosta Police Department officers responded to a total of 15 burglaries.
Roughly half of them were residential burglaries. The remaining half were commercial burglaries.
The majority of the burglaries involved a theft of some sort. A few involved damage to the property.
No arrests were reported in any of the incidents.
Here is a rundown of the reported burglaries:
Between 10:27 a.m. and 10:50 a.m. Monday, a residential burglary was reported in the area of Fulton Place. According to reports, an unknown person entered the residence and took $40 in cash and a pocketbook.
Between 6 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. Sunday, a burglary was reported in the 200 block of East College Street. According to reports, lawn equipment worth an estimated $643 was stolen.
Between 5:30 a.m. and 2:13 p.m. Sunday, a residential burglary was reported in the 800 block of West Adair Street. According to reports, someone broke the front screen door to gain entry to the home and took four Universal chrome wheels valued at $1,800.
Between 8 p.m. Saturday and 12:30 p.m. Sunday, a residential burglary was reported in the 900 block of Ridgewood Drive. According to reports, someone took items valued at $120 from a storage building.
Between 5:15 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Friday, a residential burglary was reported in the 600 block of Lamar Street. According to reports, someone removed an air conditioning unit from a window to gain entry to the residence and took $5 worth of items.
Between 8:40 a.m. and 9:04 a.m. Friday, a residential burglary was reported in the 1600 block of Fresno Street. According to reports, someone entered the front door of the home by force and took items valued at $1,885, including a 32-inch LCD TV with a built-in DVD player, a 26-inch LCD TV, a DVD player, a 17-inch flat screen computer monitor, two computer speakers, a digital coin saver and $17 in cash.
Between 7 p.m. Thursday and 8 p.m. Friday, a commercial burglary was reported in the 700 block of North Patterson Street. According to reports, someone kicked in the back door of the business and took items valued at $1,102, including $602 in cash, a TV and a DVD/VCR player.
• Someone reportedly knocked a hole in the door of a residence in the 1800 block of Northside Drive on Thursday and took items totaling $950 in value.
• Between 7:20 a.m. and 12:54 p.m. Thursday, a residential burglary was reported in the 1800 block of Iola Drive. According to reports, someone broke a door glass pane to gain entrance to the house and took items valued at $2,050, including a 32-inch black flat screen TV, a Dell laptop, and a blue 26-inch Schwinn 21-speed bicycle.
• Between 7:45 a.m. and 9:25 a.m. Thursday, a residential burglary was reported in the 100 block of Moss Oak Drive. According to reports, someone broke in the front door and took property worth an estimated $1,580, including firearms, jewelry, and electronics.
• Between 6:30 p.m. Wednesday and 9:30 a.m. Thursday, a commercial burglary was reported in the 100 block of West Adair Street. According to reports, someone kicked in the back door of the business. However, nothing was reportedly taken. The same was reported at a business in the 200 block of East Adair Street.
• Between 5 p.m. Aug. 21 and 11 a.m. Wednesday, a commercial burglary was reported in the 2100 block of Bemiss Road. According to reports, an estimated $3,150 in property was taken from the office, including a 50-inch TV, a printer and a desktop computer.
• Between 10:15 a.m. and 11 a.m. Wednesday, a burglary was reported in the 1700 block of Clover Drive. According to reports, speakers valued at $200 were taken.
• Between 7:30 p.m. Sept. 1 and 7 a.m. Wednesday, a commercial burglary was reported in the 800 block of North Forrest Street. According to reports, someone broke a window to gain entry to the warehouse and took candy products and two Rubbermaid carrying cases valued at $493.
