HAHIRA — The Hahira Recycling Center at 6769 Union Road will be temporarily relocating to the Lowndes County Mineola Recycling Center site at 4008 Old U.S. 41 North due to the City of Hahira’s need for the Union Road location.
The site will be relocated a second time, once a more permanent location can be identified. The last day that solid waste permit holders will be able to dispose of waste at the Hahira center will be Monday, Nov. 9.
Lowndes County would like to remind citizens who currently use the recycling centers that the hours of operation are from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday and 1-5 p.m. Sunday. All recycling centers are closed on Tuesday and Thursday.
Please direct questions or requests for additional information to Lowndes County Public Works at (229) 671-2700. Lowndes County apologizes for any inconvenience the relocation may cause.
