VALDOSTA — Two classical music recitals are scheduled for this weekend.
• A Community Recital is scheduled for 5 p.m. Sunday, Trinity Presbyterian Church, 3501 Bemiss Road. Admission: Free. Performers include Paul Yi, Elizabeth Yi, Fernando Chavez, Peter Geldrich, Donica Farwell, Ivey Andrews, Hillary Hendley, Joren Cain, David Springfield, Maila Springfield, Valdosta Middle School Percussion Ensemble, Christ Episcopal Bell Choir, St. Gregory’s Choir, and the Valdosta State University Saxophone Ensemble. The recital will showcase a mixture of classical, jazz and contemporary music.
• Nephtali Santiago will present a faculty recital, 3 p.m. Sunday, Whitehead Auditorium, VSU Fine Arts Building, corner of Oak and Brookwood. Admission: Free. The recital features Santiago playing Johann Sebastian Bach’s Largo from Sonata No. 3 in C Major; Chaconne from Partita No. 2 in D minor; Prelude, Loure, Gavotte en, Rondeau, Minuet I and II from Suite in E Major.
