The Valdosta-Lowndes County Parks and Recreation Authority's Mildred Hunter Community Center recently hosted its Kids Night Out Halloween Fall Festival. The festival consisted of different activities in the gym, such as nail-painting for kids, bounce houses, clowns, and a visit from SpongeBob and Shrek. Approximately 200 people came out to make the event a success. Andre Newson, center supervisor, said, ‘I commend the community organizations, Michael Foster, center assistant, and our staff and volunteers for helping make the community's Kids Night Out a huge success.’ For more information, call (229) 259-5437.
