VALDOSTA — Two men have been arrested in connection with the Friday night shooting outside a local restaurant.
On Monday, Valdosta police arrested Kareem LaDonald Foster, 20, and Kareem Antoine McClary, 18, and charged them with aggravated assault, according to a press release from the Valdosta Police Department.
Police are not releasing which suspect they believe to be the shooter, as it may compromise the integrity of the case, said Valdosta Police Capt. Bobbi McGraw.
Additional charges are pending for both suspects in this case, the release stated.
Detectives are still investigating motive, but it appears that this incident may have stemmed from a previous disagreement between the victim and offenders.
The shooting occurred Friday, Nov. 13, at about 10:50 p.m. in the parking lot area of 1409 Lake Park Road near Andy’s Wings and Things and Andy’s Place.
Police were dispatched to the scene to find 22-year-old Eric Lewis of Valdosta shot in the torso.
Lewis was taken to South Georgia Medical Center for treatment of a single gunshot wound. He remains in stable condition, the release stated.
