The Georgia Department of Transportation has scheduled a northbound single right-lane closure on State Road 7 Business/North Ashley Street between East Valley Street and Rogers Street from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. today. Contractor crews will be removing two existing driveways and installing new sidewalks in front of the newly built Lowndes County Judicial Annex Building.
This is a work zone; extreme caution is necessary. Motorists are advised to reduce speeds as they travel through this construction work zone. Message signs, barrels and cones will be utilized to alert the public of the upcoming changes. Drivers should be aware that personnel and equipment will be operating in close proximity to travel lanes.
