VALDOSTA — Beyond the Beach tanning salon was robbed at gunpoint Monday.
Around 11:30 a.m., two black males walked into the business, located at 1707 Norman Drive, and demanded money while displaying a handgun, said Valdosta Police Capt. Bobbi McGraw. After taking an undisclosed amount of money, they fled out the back door.
No one was injured during the incident.
Police were on the scene with multiple K-9 units trying to locate the suspects for approximately two hours following the robbery, McGraw said.
However, no suspects had been identified as of press time.
The robbery remains under investigation.
The offenders have been described as being 25 to 30 years old.
One has dreadlocks and was wearing a white baseball cap turned backwards and a blue shirt at the time of the incident.
The other is taller and is described as being light skinned. He was wearing a dark shirt at the time of the incident.
Anyone with any information is encouraged to contact the VPD Bureau of Investigation at (229) 293-3145 or the Crime Tip Line at (229) 293-3091.
