VALDOSTA — A Naylor man was arrested on drug charges early Thursday morning.
Around 12:45 a.m., investigators with the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Division noticed suspicious activity in a parking lot on South Patterson Street, said Lowndes County Sheriff Chris Prine. The vehicle, driven by 33-year-old Robert D. Wiggins of Naylor was stopped.
“A subsequent search of the vehicle led to the recovery of approximately 27 grams of powder cocaine,” Prine said.
The drugs carry a street value of approximately $2,700, Prine added.
“Several other items used for storage and distribution of cocaine were also located and seized,” he said.
Wiggins was arrested and charged with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of tools for the commission of a crime and defective equipment, reports state.
