VALDOSTA —
Three Event Highlights
• The Puddleville Pedalers Family and Friends Fun Day is open to all ages. Dogs are welcome and children must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. All riders under the age of 16 must wear a helmet.
• The one-hour bike ride will move at a slow pace and will take participants through the streets and neighborhoods of Adel.
• As a group, the Puddleville Pedalers is open to anyone from Adel and the surrounding areas who likes to cycle. It is not a highly organized cycling team, just a group of folks who like the activity as well as the opportunity to promote the benefits of this mode of transportation.
Why You Should Participate
“Bicycling is an excellent activity that promotes the cardiovascular, muscular and mental health of an individual with minimal stress on the joints and bones. This event and others like it in the future will serve to motivate people of all ages to be physically active in a community setting. A person does not have to have a real expensive bicycle in order to participate in this event. We welcome road, comfort, mountain, recumbent, children’s trailers and children’s cycles. Cycling is also good for our environment as it takes one form of power to keep bicycles going, and that is willpower.” — Chris Newbern, the pedaling pastor.
