LAKELAND —
Lanier County is now a Certified Work Ready Community.
An event hosted by Georgia Olive Farms Monday was held in celebration of the designation.
Jason Shaw, one of the owners of the co-op, welcomed guests and staff from Wiregrass Georgia Technical College to the farm.
The high-density variety of olive grown in Lanier County was first developed in Spain, Shaw said.
