Fatal shooting investigated

Police have multiple ‘persons of interest’ in Sunday morning incident

VALDOSTA — A 24-year-old man was shot to death in the pre-dawn hours Sunday following an incident that started outside of a Valdosta establishment, according to the Valdosta Police Department.

As of Sunday evening, Valdosta police were seeking persons of interest in the case.

Alfred Pierre Bradley Jr., 24, was pronounced dead at the scene, said Valdosta Police Cmdr. Brian Childress. Bradley was shot once, the police commander said.

At approximately 4:15 a.m. Sunday, Valdosta police received a call regarding a shooting at T&D Snack & Fashions, 1401 N. Troup St., Childress said. No one else was injured in the case. The incident began outside of the establishment, the commander said.

Both Valdosta police and emergency-medical services arrived at the scene to find Bradley dead from a single gunshot wound, according to police.

A Valdosta Police Department report said he had been shot in the head.

Police have identified multiple persons of interest in the case, the commander said.

Valdosta police investigators and Valdosta-Lowndes County Crime Lab technicians worked the scene until 10 a.m. Sunday. The investigation continued throughout the day.

Police request anyone with information regarding the case to call the Valdosta Police Department, (229) 293-3145; or call through the anonymous tip line, (229) 293-3091.
