Adron Demetrius Curry, known to many as “AC,” made his grand debut on Monday, Feb. 12, 1968, in Valdosta, Ga. He made his grand finale on Friday, Sept. 7, 2012.
Adron was met on the other side of the gates by his father, Leroy Curry, as well as his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Adron received his early education from the Valdosta City Schools. He later received other trainings and certifications throughout his life. Adron served in capacity as “Lead Man” at TM Polyfilm. He was a member of the Greater Mt. Carmel Ministry.
During his 44 year journey here on earth, Adron faced many obstacles and challenges, but unashamedly and willingly he shared his life, his story, and his heart in hopes of touching and changing the lives of those headed down the wrong path.
His journey will not go unnoticed, for a piece of it he leaves. To cherish and share his story are his little angel, Adriayah Oliva Curry; a praying and devoted Mother, Olivia Cowart; seven siblings; Cathleen Thomas (Charles) Mary Ruth Curry, Grace Lane (Terry), Linda Beard (Willie), Robert Solomon, Eddie Curry (Elizabeth), Walter Curry, and Mary Jane Curry. He also leaves a cousin raised as his sister, Gloria Holman; a niece he holds dear to his heart, LaQuanda Curry; and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 15, 2012, at Union Cathedral. Bishop Wade S. McCrae is pastor. Elder David M. Nothcutt will officiate. Burial to follow in Sunset Hill Cemetery. — Final rites entrusted to Harrington Funeral Inc.
