Mrs. Mamie Sue Rozier, 75, of Quitman, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2012, at her daughter’s residence after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Rozier was born Oct. 23, 1936, to the late Osborne and Blanche Pridgen Mason. She was a homemaker and was a member of Quitman Church of God.
Survivors include her four daughters and sons-in-law, Carol and Stanley Norris of Hahira, Kathy and Michael Gilbert of Nashville, Lynn and Timmy Wood of Brunswick, and Joan and Michael Bower of Lake Park; one son, William Fred Heweitt of Panama City, Fla.; three grandchildren, Dana M. Norris, Stan R. Norris, Brittney N. Norris; four sisters, Christine Boyd, Gayle Boyd, and Lavada Foles, all of Berlin, Gertie Stafford of Moultrie.
Mrs. Rozier was preceded in death by her husband, Marcus Rozier; and two brothers, Junior Mason and Raymond Mason.
Funeral service will be held Friday, Sept. 21, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Quitman Church of God with the Rev. Gwin Jarriel officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. today at Maxwell-Miller Funeral Home.
