VALDOSTA —
Anna Belle McCain, 79, of Valdosta, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012, at Lakeland Villa Convalescent Center in Lakeland, Ga. She was born Feb. 10, 1933, in Dupont, Ga., to the late Henry Madison Sirmans and Mary Elizabeth Carter Selby. Ms. McCain was a member of New Covenant Church in Valdosta, a retired seamstress, and had lived in Valdosta for most of her life.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Larry J. and Ruth McCain of Jennings, Fla., and Marcus H. and Carmen McCain of Madrid, Spain; two daughters and a son-in-law, Mary Anna and Hank Mathis of Lakeland, Ga., and Laura Lee Moran of Rogersville, Ala.; 14 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Winifred Christner of Jacksonville, Fla.; and the father of her children, Wilton J. McCain of Lakeland, Ga.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Brenton L. Sirmans.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012, at 2 p.m. at Lakeland Church of Christ with Minister David Abbott officiating. Time for visiting with the family will take place at the church immediately following the service.
