Myrtice Marie Tison Pritchard, 88 of Valdosta passed away Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2012 at her residence. She was born on Jan. 6, 1924 in Echols County, Ga. to the late Herbert Ezra and Lula Lee (Glass) Zeigler. She was a member of Redland Baptist Church. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Turner Tison, sons, Albert Murwin Tison and Jerry Turner Tison and 3 brothers, Ezra Lee Zeigler, Leonard Merle Zeigler and Willie Jacob Zeigler.
She is survived by her husband, Richard James Pritchard of Valdosta; daughters and sons-in-law, Judy Tison Wilson (David), Valdosta, Peggy Tison Wisenbaker (Ronny), Valdosta; son and daughter-in-law, Larry Wayne Tison (Evie), Valdosta; 10 grandchildren, Jana Register, Christy Cornelius, Richard Ashley Cochran, Duwayne Kelvin Tison, Samuel Oliver Tison, Shannon Yvette Tison, Jerrell Kevin Tison, Deana Marie Kinsley, Theresa Dawn Gandy and Sherryl Lynn Usic; 14 great-grandchildren; nine great-great grandchildren; sister, Ester Sybl Cummings, Valdosta; brother and sister-in-law, James Harley Zeigler (Margaret), Sneads, Fla.; sisters-in-law, Joann Zeigler, Thomasville, Alice Zeigler, Cecil; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, John L Tison (Laverne), Macon; several nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, August 18, 2012 in the Chapel of Music Funeral Services with committal service to be held at 12:00 PM in Oak Hill Cemetery, Quitman, GA. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, August 17, 2012 at the funeral home.
