Annette Blackburn Phillips, 90, of Huntsville passed away Saturday. Mrs. Phillips was an active member in the life and work of First Presbyterian Church for 60 years. She coordinated many clothing and ministry efforts including Harris Home for Children, Mission Haven, the Pathfinder and several other charities. Mrs. Phillips was active in her church circle as well as civic organizations. She was preceded in death by her husband, James L. Phillips.
Survivors include her son, Donald L. Phillips and his wife, Janice, of Huntsville; sister-in-law, Mildred Blackburn of Augusta, Georgia; nieces and nephews, Betsy Blackburn of Augusta, Robert Blackburn of St. Louis, Missouri, Chip Blackburn of Mexico Beach, Florida, Mike Blackburn of Tallahassee, Florida, Jill Blackburn Hurd of Shreveport, Louisiana, Bryan Thomas of Enseneda, Mexico, Patty Sugimoto and Steve Thomas, both of San Francisco, California.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. The graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Maple Hill Cemetery with Dr. Mark Mueller officiating.
