Erma Ison Myers, 68, of Lake Andes, S.D., died Sunday, July 15, 2012 at her home. She was born on Nov. 13, 1943 in Morgantown, W. Va. to the late Faye and Mary McMillen Smith. Mrs. Myers was of the Southern Baptist faith and was a former member of Morningside Baptist Church. She founded Precision Printing Plus and served as a missionary to South Korea. Later moving to South Dakota to work with the Lakota Sioux Indian Nation through Eagle’s Way Ministries. Survivors include her husband, John Dale Myers of Lake Andes, S.D.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and Bob Underwood of Atlanta, and Barbara and Richard Morehouse of Jacksonville, Fla.; step son, John D. Myers, Jr., of Titusville, Fla.; step daughter, Laura L. Myers Miller of Oak Hill, Fla.; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one sister, Carol Behnke of Elyria, Ohio; and one brother, Densil Smith of Lorain, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Donald Lee Ison, two brothers and one sister.
Funeral services will be held at 5 p.m., this evening, July 20, 2012 in the chapel of the McLane Riverview Mausoleum in Valdosta with the Rev. Bob Underwood officiating. Entombment will follow in the mausoleum. The family will receive friends today from 4-5 p.m. prior to the service.
