Mrs. Mary Jane Bennett Corbitt, 69, of Homerville, passed away Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Corbitt was born Sept. 18, 1943, in Lanier County, to the late William Oliver Bennett and Elizabeth Fender Bennett Hughes. She was a homemaker and attended the Church of God and Shiloh Southern Congregational Methodist Church.
Survivors are her husband: Herman Corbitt, Homerville; four daughters and sons-in-law: Shirley and Eddie Teston, Mary Lynn and Mervin Bennett and Linda and Raymond Peterson, all of Homerville and Betty Sue and Shad Dean, Lake Park; seven sons and daughters-in-law: Jimmy and Charlotte Gaskins, Homerville, Robert and Denise Gaskins, Douglas, Jerry and Sadi Corbitt, Kenny Corbitt, Ricky and Angie Corbitt and Michael Corbitt all oh Homerville and Scotty and Tina Corbitt, Brunswick; two sisters: Louise Warren, Alapaha and Magielane Gaskins, Daytona, Fla.; two brothers: Wilburn Bennett and Cliff Bennett, both of Homerville; 36 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild and several other relatives..
Services for Mrs. Corbitt will be held Monday, Oct. 8, 2012, at 11 a.m. from the DuPont Baptist Church.
Interment will be in the North Cemetery, DuPont.
Visitation will be held Sunday, Oct. 7, 2012 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Roundtree Funeral Home.
