Sara Bethea
Sara Bethea, 85, of Fitzgerald passed away Wednesday March 15, 2006, at her residence.
She was born on March 8, 1921, in Duval County, Fla., to Lonnie Stovall and Sara Pearl Parker Kinnebrew. She was a homemaker, retired teacher with Berrien County School System in the Old Enigma School and a member of Irwinville Primitive Baptist Church. She was the widow of Elder Fred Bethea, who died in 1979. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Melvin Kinnebrew, and a grandson, Richard “Ritchie” Bethea.
She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Kynette and Earl James of Fitzgerald; one son and daughter-in-law, Rick and Linda Bethea of West Union, S.C.; eight grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren.
Funeral servics will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 18, 2006, at Cat Creek Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Chad O’Quinn, Elder Jabin James and Elder Bob Dickerson officiating. Burial will be held in Cat Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be held this evening from 7-9 p.m.

Bobby M. Webb
Mr. Bobby M. Webb, 73, of Tavares, Fla., passed away peacefully at approximately 8 a.m. March 13, 2006, at his residence at 28901 Tammi Drive in Tavares, Fla. after a long period of declining health. After graduating from Nashville High School in Nashville, he served his country in the U.S. Air Force as an Air Force police officer.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Alice Sheffer Webb; his very dear friend and mother-in-law, Mrs. Maylo Sheffer; one son and his wife, Gregory (Greg) Lee Webb and Doraida, of 28811 Tammi Drive, Tavares, Fla.; one daughter, Susan Webb Ellis of Gainesville, Fla.; one grandson, Zachary Ellis of Gainesville, Fla.; one sister and her husband Betty Yvonne Webb Sirmans and Donald W. Sirmans of 1872 Lonnie Grimsley Road, Adel. Bobby was preceded in death by his father and mother, Mr. Johnny Marion (Jack) Webb and Annie Juanita Jefferson Webb.
According to his wishes, he was cremated and there was no funeral. His ashes will be placed with his mother and dad in Pleasant Cemetery in Berrien County. The family has requested no flowers. Donations may be made to Hospice if so desired. He will be sorely missed.

Adele Ducharme
Dr. Adele Ducharme, 63, died at her home in Valdosta on Tuesday, March 14, 2006.
Born in Alexandria, La., on March 2, 1943, she was the daughter of Mary Elizabeth Holly Ducharme and the late Dr. Robert James Ducharme. Formerly of Opelousas, La., she had lived in Valdosta for the past 16 years where she was Department Head for Middle Grades and Secondary Education at Valdosta State University. Dr. Ducharme held memberships with the Association of Teacher Educators, the American Association of College Teachers of Education, the Georgia Research Association, Phi Delta Kappa, Kappa Delta Pi, the International Reading Association, the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, the Georgia Association of Teacher Educators, the National Middle Grades Association, the Georgia Middle Grades Association, the Georgia International Reading Association, and Professors of Middle Level Education of Georgia and National. She was a member of Delta Delta Delta Sorority. Dr. Ducharme was of the Episcopal faith.
Survivors are her daughter, Shannon Michele Hansen of Franklin, Mass.; her son and daughter-in-law, Shawn and Jill Ducharme of Austin, Texas; her mother, Mary Elizabeth Ducharme of Lafayette, La.; and three grandchildren, Samantha Hansen, Rachel Hansen of Franklin Mass., Dylan Ducharme of Austin, Texas.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2006, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home. The Rev. Richard Pieplow will officiate. Annie Mae Watkins Montgomery Riley
Mrs. Annie Mae Watkins Montgomery Riley passed this life on March 12, 2006, following a period of declining health.
She was born in Thomas County on Dec. 30, 1913. She attended the public schools in Thomas County, and received her Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education from Fort Valley College. She taught in the Lowndes County and Valdosta City school systems until her retirement.
She accepted, at an early age, Christ as her personal Savior. At the time of her passing she was a member of Macedonia First Baptist Church. She was married to Mr. R.B. Montgomery until his passing in 1975. She shared a wonderful relationship for 30 years with Mr. Preston C. Riley and married him in 2004.
Mrs. Riley was a founding member of the Jolly Twelve Club and was also a member of the Prosprous Travelers Club.
She is survived by her husband, Preston; two step daughters, Laura and Patricia Riley; one step granddaughter, Jennifer Johnson; two step grandsons, the Rev. Terry Thomas and Paul Thomas, all of New York City, N.Y.; an uncle, Joe Watkins of Thomasville. In addition she is survived by the Breeden family and the Sisterhood of the Jolly Twelve Club.

Paul Edward Rogers
Paul Edward Rogers, 51, of Valdosta, died on Thursday, March 16, 2006, at South Georgia Medical Center after a brief illness.
Born on June 12, 1954, in Marmaduke, Ark., he was the son of Richard Edward and Vera Mary Rowe Rogers. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and a member of Eastern Heights Baptist Church. He never met a stranger. Even though he was disabled for many years, he spent his time helping his friends any way he could.
Survivors are his wife, Althea J. Rogers of Valdosta; son, John Adam Rogers of Wrightsville; daughter, Althea Eve Taylor; sisters, Melba J. Williams of St. Louis County, Mo.; Joyce G. Harper, Bonnie, both of Miss.; Linda Stewart, Niliene Drope both of Ark.; brothers, David R. Rogers and Stephen W. Rogers both of Ark.; grandchildren, Neva Mullis and Kara Mullis both of Valdosta; and four other grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 18, 2006 at Eastern Heights Baptist Church with the Rev. Skip Van Nus officiating.
