STATENVILLE

Brady Weston Miller

Brady Weston Miller, 25, of Statenville, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2007, in Valdosta. Brady was a student at Valdosta State University and was employed by Sonny’s Bar-B-Q in Valdosta.

Survivors include his father, George Miller; his mother, Coral Alberry Miller of Statenville; two sisters, Gayla Miller, Ft. Smith, Ark., and Sonya Magia, Houston, Texas.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. today at Statenville Baptist Church. Private memorial services will be held at a later date. — Harry T. Reid Funeral Home, Jasper, Fla.

Emery Barque, 92, of Valdosta passed away Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2007, at Smith Northview Hospital after a lengthy illness. As per his wishes, he will be cremated and no formal service will be held. — Music Funeral Services of Valdosta is serving the Barque family



Thomas Preston

Baby Boy Thomas Preston of Valdosta passed this life Sept. 25, 2007, at the Smith Northview Hospital. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, Sept. 28, 2007, in Eastview Cemetery in Nashville. The Rev. Tim Riser will officiate. He is the son of Shelby T. Preston. — Final rites are entrusted to Harrington Funeral Home.

    Edith Rebecca Jordan Pittman, 73, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2012, at Clinch Memorial Hospital.
    Mrs. Pittman was born, Feb. 13, 1938, in Ware County, to the late Kenneth Rosco Jordan and Edith Daisy Smith Jordan. She was a homemaker and attended the Fruitland Church of God.

    Harry L. Chaney, 90, of Lake Park, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2012, at South Georgia Medical Center after a brief illness. He was born on June 2, 1921, in Martinsville, Va., to the late John Andrew and Bessie (Rowland) Chaney. He served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Hydruss. Mr. Chaney worked with Owens Illinois for over 32 years. He worked as a furniture maker and a carpenter in the early part of his life. He owned and operated Chaney’s Lawn Care until his death. He was a member of Clyattville United Methodist Church.
