James Junior Loyless Sr.

VALDOSTA — James Junior Loyless Sr., 72, of Valdosta, died Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012, at South Georgia Medical Center. He was born in Tifton, Ga., on Dec. 14, 1939, to the late Jessie William and Maeomie Harnage Loyless and had lived in Valdosta for the past 54 years. Mr. Loyless was a member of the Victory Baptist Church and the owner and operator of James Loyless Automotive Repair. He loved spending time with his family and friends. Mr. Loyless coached Little League Baseball at the Boys Club for many years.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 52 years, Sandra Ward Loyless; his daughter and son-in-law, Deidra and Jeff Frier; his son, James Loyless Jr., all of Valdosta; five grandchildren, Kimberly (Jonathan) Montgomery, Allen Frier, all of Valdosta, Hunter Loyless, Hayden Loyless and Harrison Loyless, all of Hahira; two great-grandchildren, Asher Montgomery, Graceanna Montgomery; his sister, Elizabeth Davis of Valdosta; two brothers-in-law and three sisters-in-law, Anne Ward Mitchell, Dr. Steve and Debra Ward, all of Valdosta, Orland Jr. and Charlene Ward of Cook County; numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by three sisters, Peggy Kinney, Thelma Smith and Jessie Mae Ingram.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Oct. 12, 2012, in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with his brother-in-law, Dr. Steve Ward, officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery in Quitman.
